In front of the site of a future methaniser, which is still only an empty field in Poupry, Aurélien Delaunay and Émilie Demas present their vision of the Department and their steps for the Eure-et-Loir of tomorrow.
The two 29-year-old friends, members of the “Eure-et-Loir Écologie” movement, are candidates in the departmental elections on June 20 and 27. Originally from Chartres, but seduced by the rurality of the plains of Beauce, Aurélien Delaunay and Émilie Demas, both teachers in a primary school, form one of the five pairs vying to win in the largest canton of the department, that of Villages-Vovéens.

Sensitive to ecology, they present themselves with the slogan: “Better living together. If they are elected, their main stake will be to link the human aspect to the biodiversity aspect in the canton. Aurélien Delaunay explains:
“We must be in a dynamic where we do things for people and with people. It is not because we do ecology that we forget the other issues of the territory. What we want, c ‘is that the Euréliens feel concerned by what is happening near their home, that they reclaim their territory. “

By proposing a kind of participatory democracy and by holding departmental citizen meetings, the pair wants to allow Euréliens “to have a vision of future and current projects on their land. “
Ecology, but not only
Beyond ecology, Aurélien Delaunay and Émilie Demas fully intend to “take care of the population of the canton, which is aging, by promoting the maintenance at home of the elderly or the creation of participatory habitats close to their homes, to that they do not leave their village. “
In addition, they wish to “support the main players in the territory, the farmers, by supporting them towards organic farming. “Finally, the canteens of the colleges of Eure-et-Loir would be obliged to” prepare meals with 50% organic products. “
Departmental elections: update on the candidates in the fifteen cantons of Eure-et-Loir
According to them, today, actions on biodiversity are wrong. Émilie Demas details:
“Ecology is about reviving the territory. But it is not by installing machines belonging to private companies on an untapped field, which is in a rural space, that we are making progress. is a drift of ecology, because we can very well install our structures on an already exploited space. The more we focus on the creation of activities on the territory, the more we forget the human being. “
