Department of Health of Cauquenes calls to get vaccinated with the Bivalent Dose against COVID-19
A repeated call to get vaccinated against COVID-19 was formulated by the director of the Cauquenes Municipal Health Department, kinesiologist Alejandra Landeros Garrido, to the population as a way to reinforce the vaccination strategy against the pandemic, with the bivalent vaccine.
Since last January 16, the target groups for immunization with the bivalent vaccine have been expanded. In this sense, Alejandra Landeros reiterated the call to the target groups to come to the vaccination center, located on San Francisco street, next to the Aula Magna of the Antonio Varas high school, to receive the free dose of the bivalent vaccine, recalling the importance that citizens get vaccinated, since we need to continue taking care of ourselves, because the pandemic continues and the risk of catching it is always present.
′′ We are as a Department reinforcing the vaccination campaign, so the invitation is for citizens to be inoculated. The vaccination center is open from Monday to Friday from 9:12 a.m. to 5:40 p.m., the staff is available, what we need is for them to come so that we can better face the winter season; this pandemic has not disappeared and the idea is that people are protected and immunized”.
In addition, it was reported that, in the same way that the bivalent vaccine is applied, the previous doses are also administered, so that people who are behind in this matter can also catch up.

In addition to health personnel, people with overweight and chronic illnesses, vaccination with the bivalent dose was extended to people aged 50 and over, people with severe and profound disabilities (registered in the national disability registry), caregivers of dependent patients (preferred law), population in closed centers: SENAME or in centers in agreement with this institution and mental health care centers, officials who carry out critical functions in the State administration, personnel who carry out essential functions for direct attention to citizens : FONASA, Isapre, IPS, AFP, Civil Registry, Chile Serves, COMPIN, Banco Estado, Compensation Funds, SAG, Airports, Bus Terminals, Ports and officials of Seremis and Health Services.
Likewise, personnel who carry out essential functions for direct care to the public in community pharmacies (communal and private) may be inoculated; laboratory staff (university and private), law enforcement and security forces, armed forces, nursery school educators and people who work in nurseries and kindergartens, teachers and directors of preschool, basic and secondary education establishments, gendarmerie personnel and people deprived of their liberty, in addition to people who carry out functions considered essential in basic service companies: electricity, water, gas, telecommunications, power generation, fuel distributors, household waste collection, sanitary landfills, chemical manufacturing and pharmaceutical products , funeral homes and cemeteries, personnel who work in transport companies: land, air and sea and People who work in the transport of critical products: food, clinical supplies and medicines, among others.
Preventive measures continue to be very important to avoid contagion and advance prevention against the Sars-CoV-2 virus.
