As part of its ongoing efforts to enable innovation and fresh thinking in the work environment, the Department of Finance in Ajman, in cooperation with Oracle, held a workshop for its employees under the title: “Smart Innovation Using Design Thinking,” coinciding with the “UAE Innovates 2024” month.
This workshop aimed to provide the opportunity for Department of Finance employees to discuss future proposals and generate new ideas that would contribute to improving the overall operational efficiency of the Department of Finance in Ajman through Oracle cloud applications to automate financial procedures and budget planning, in line with the goals and future directions of the Ajman government in the field of finance. Marwan Al Ali, Director General of the Department of Finance in Ajman, confirmed that the workshop comes within the framework of strengthening the constructive cooperation relations and strategic partnership existing between the Department of Finance and Oracle, which contributes to enhancing innovation and efficiency in the management of financial resources in the emirate, and brings mutual benefit to everyone, pointing out The Department is keen to develop and invest in partnership opportunities with the private sector, to improve the performance of the financial sector, which in turn leads to improving the quality of life in the emirate.
He also alluded to the department’s commitment to creating a work environment that encourages creativity and establishing it as a daily work style, explaining that the goal of this workshop lies in establishing a culture of innovation among the work team members, enhancing cooperation among them, stimulating their skills in creative thinking and developing innovative solutions by applying the principles and basics of design thinking. He added that the workshop also comes within the department’s strategy to develop its human competencies and provide it with the necessary tools to effectively confront challenges and come up with innovative and influential ideas that contribute to developing the work system.
