Deolane explains himself after posing with a Maré drug boss’s lanyard

Case is being investigated by the Civil Police

Influencer Deolane Bezerra released a note explaining herself after posting a photo wearing a lanyard that belonged to the head of drug trafficking in Maré, a community in Rio de Janeiro. Deolane stated that she did not commit any “illegal” and that she thought the accessory was a tribute to the community.

“The artist clarifies that she did attend a public event in the Maré community, in which she was very well received by everyone, and on that occasion she took photos with several fans and even posted photos with a necklace, which was circulating among several people at the party , which she believed at the time to be a necklace in honor of that community”, says the text signed by lawyer Adélia de Jesus Soares.

In addition to the legal advisor’s note, Deolane had already explained the case on social media. “I went to Complexo da Maré yesterday, I was there at the Disney ball. I was well received, I didn’t spend a single dollar. I took a photo with everyone, with a lanyard, without a lanyard, they put the lanyard on me, they took it off, and sometimes, that’s who I am” , said the influencer.

“I came from the favela and I’m going to keep going. Do you know why? There are people there who will never be able to see me if I don’t go to them. And I’m going, I’m an artist”, concluded the singer.

In the early hours of Wednesday (14), Deolane posted videos on her social networks using TH’s gold chain.

“We want to understand who invited her, whether she was welcomed to make a VIP presence, explain her and her sister’s relationship with TH. Both appear in several images with the criminal’s cord”, says delegate Rodrigo Coelho, head of the DRE, to g1.

TH, also known as Mano Tcheco, is one of the main drug leaders in Complexo da Maré, which brings together 16 communities.

The Narcotics Repression Police Station (DRE), which has an open investigation to investigate the Third Pure Command (TCP) gang, which controls the tobacco outlets in the region, had access to a photo and other images, including a video of an interview in which she displays the same cord.

“The artist Deolane Bezerra, through her legal consultancy, comes, through this note, to express her opinion on the information she recently learned about her presence at a public party in the community of Maré – RJ.

The Artist clarifies that she did attend a public event in the Maré community, where she was very well received by everyone, and on that occasion she took photos with several fans and even posted photos with a necklace, which was circulating among several people at the party, which she believed at the time to be a necklace in honor of that community.

The artist also clarifies that the party was an event open to the public, in which she was not hired or invited to attend, it was just because she knew that a large part of her fans are concentrated in communities and whenever possible she likes to be in these spaces.

We take this opportunity to publicly reiterate that the Artist did not commit any illegal act, and is at the disposal of the courts to provide all clarifications regarding the facts.

Considering the unfounded and untrue information propagated by some press vehicles, based on article 5, item V, of the Federal Constitution, we will plead that the artist Deolane Bezerra be guaranteed the right to respond, as well as the appropriate measures will be taken in order to hold responsible everyone who committed illegal acts by disclosing untruths about the facts now clarified”,
