The home team controlled the match from start to finish. and showed efficiency against a calibrated pair formed by the stars Jamal Murray (26 points) and Nikola Jokic (27 points). On the visitors’ side, Bam Adebayo stood out with 26 points.
The teams will play again on Sunday (4), starting at 9 pm (Brasília time), also in Denver. Whoever wins four games first gets the NBA title.
How was the game
The duel started with Aaron Gordon, of the Nuggets, and Adebayo, of the Heat, shining. The winger and center were the highlights of the first quarter and led their teams inside the Ball Arena. Jammal Murray and Nikola Jokic, however, were more efficient than their rivals and managed to share the spotlight with the Nuggets, who won by 29 to 20.
In the second quarter, the hosts relied on inspiration from Michael Porter Jr.who calibrated his hand and scored five points in just two minutes, helping Denver to open the lead and close the initial half of the duel with a partial victory of 59 to 42.
The Heat even sketched an improvement at the beginning of the 2nd half and even reduced the disadvantage, but ended up swallowed in the final part. Bruce Brown showed up for the Nuggets, who ended the third quarter with an even more elastic score: 84 to 63.
The last 12 minutes of the match were marked by a reaction, in fact, from the Miami franchise, which reduced the difference to 10 points. The hosts, however, had a new appearance by Murray-Jokic, who controlled the opponent to close the match at 104 to 93.
