Sharjah (Al Ittihad)
The University Dental Hospital of the University of Sharjah celebrated the International Braille Day endorsed by the United Nations on 4 January every year by issuing and distributing educational materials printed in the “Braille” method on oral and dental health and mail – treatment instructions to reduce the risk of dental problems and diseases. Oral health, improve the quality of life of people with visual impairment.
This occurred during a hands-on workshop organized by the University Dental Hospital of the University of Sharjah through the mobile dental clinic, in collaboration with the Emirates Society for the Visually Idisabled, where awareness of the most important preventive measures to reduce the risk of and dental disease.
Dr. Ahmed Hamdan, Dean of Sharjah University College of Dentistry, confirmed that these community initiatives are in line with the strategy of the College of Dentistry and Sharjah University, which aims to serve and develop the community, and coincides with the celebrations of the Silver Jubilee of the University of Sharjah and the 25th anniversary of its foundation.
