Tim Densus 88 Anti-terror Polri did search in the former secretariat of the Islamic Defenders Front (REIT) on Jalan Sungai Limboto, Ujung Pandang District, Kota Makassar, South Sulawesi, Tuesday (4/5) afternoon.
This search was carried out at around 16.30 WITA. There is no detailed information regarding the search yet.
The local residents were shocked to see a number of police personnel using complete weapons clustered at the location.
“I don’t know either, sir, suddenly there were a lot of police here,” said one resident, Rudi, when he was met at the location.
Until now, searches are still being carried out by the Police Densus 88 Anti-terror Team. Police officers are also still carrying out security at the location.
Densus 88 previously conducted a search at the former FPI headquarters in Petamburan, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (27/4).
The search for 6 hours starting at 17.00 WIB ended with the confiscation of four container boxes which were secured by officers.
The search was carried out following the arrest of former FPI General Secretary Munarman in Pamulang, South Tangerang on the same day.
Munarman is suspected of motivating other people to commit criminal acts of terrorism, having bad consensus to commit crimes of terrorism.
Munarman is now still being secured by Densus 88 and his juntrungan is not yet known.
