Densus 88 again ransacked a rented house in Berbah Sleman

Harianjogja.com, SLEMAN – Special Detachment (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Police Headquarters ransacked a house in Kapanewon Berbah, Sleman on Saturday (3/10/2020) afternoon.

The Sleman Police Chief, AKBP Anton Firmanto, confirmed the search. However, he was reluctant to provide complete information. “The Sleman Police are only helping to secure the perimeter,” he said when confirmed by reporters on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Head of RW 22, Lojisari Hamlet, Tegaltirto Sub-District, Berbah, Sleman, Hidron Darsono, 56, said that he was contacted at around 17.00 WIB that Densus 88 would conduct a search of one of the houses in the RW area. The house was inhabited by a man with the initials H, who had also been secured earlier that day.

“I came to the location where it was crowded. Earlier I was in the office, someone called and I came,” he said on Saturday.

According to him, this team searched the rented house for a long time from Saturday afternoon until 21.30 WIB. A number of items were confiscated from the house.

“Electronic goods, cell phones, laptops and related books were taken immediately. Later there will be further checks,” he said.

The house, he continued, has been inhabited by H for the last three to four years with his wife and three children. This resident comes from East Java.

According to him, these residents rarely hang out with their neighbors. He also did not know for sure the work carried out by his citizens on a daily basis. “They are closed,” he said simply.

Two days earlier, Densus 88 had also just searched a house in Tirtabuana Blok F Housing, Cepor Hamlet, Kalurahan Sendangtirto, Kapanewon Berbah, Sleman on Thursday (1/10/2020) morning. They also confiscated a number of items from the house that were suspected of having something to do with terrorism activities, ranging from flash drives, CPUs, and books.
