Road users in large parts of the Netherlands should expect thick fog this morning. Visibility is less than 200 meters in many places. In the early morning visibility was limited, especially in North and South Holland, sometimes only 70 meters.

The KNMI has issued code yellow for eight provinces: Friesland, Flevoland, North Holland, South Holland, Utrecht, Gelderland, North Brabant and Zeeland. There are no weather warnings in Groningen, Drenthe, Overijssel and Limburg.

Rijkswaterstaat and ANWB expect a heavy rush hour, partly due to fog. It’s always very busy on Tuesdays. Motorists are advised to use the front fog lights when visibility is less than 200 metres.

According to the KNMI, the fog will dissipate during the morning.
