Popular Indonesian celebrity Denny Sumargo recently addressed a private podcast recording featuring Didi Setiadi, the father of actress Natasha Wilona. Rather of releasing the episode publicly, Sumargo chose a path of private mediation, prioritizing a discreet resolution to what he described as a sensitive family matter.
Speaking to reporters in Central Jakarta on December 21, 2024, Sumargo explained his decision: ”I believe this podcast, involving the father of a public figure, should be handled privately. The content is quite sensitive,and the goal is to find a positive outcome.I didn’t want to get overly involved, but I spoke with both parties yesterday, and it seems the father finally understands.”
Sumargo confirmed that Setiadi himself had reached out for the podcast. The actor’s concern stemmed from the lack of public promotion for the episode. Sumargo reassured him that a private resolution was the best course of action. “He came to me, concerned about the podcast not being publicized. I suggested we mediate privately, without public knowledge, to bring closure,” Sumargo stated.
While declining to divulge specifics from the podcast conversation, Sumargo emphasized the importance of maintaining privacy. “I can’t discuss the details becuase it’s a private matter.My focus is on private mediation to avoid public attention,” he explained. He also declined to comment on whether natasha Wilona was informed of the mediation efforts, stating, “I don’t think it’s appropriate to discuss that. Essentially, I’m addressing my podcast, a situation arose, and I believe it’s been resolved amicably without any fuss.”
Sumargo definitively stated that the podcast with Didi Setiadi will not be released to the public: ”Right now, no (uploading podcasts with Didi setiadi),” he stressed.
