Dennis te Kloese sometimes doesn’t know what he is experiencing with Arne Slot. He tells this in De Beslissers, a podcast by FC Afkicken. The general manager of Feyenoord characterizes his trainer as a professional idiot.

Slot is ‘really a thinker’, says Te Kloese. “Sometimes I say: Take it easy, you can also think too much. He analyzed, thought about and discussed everything that could happen to him. On the one hand you could say that he is making things too difficult for himself. On the other hand, he is always well prepared.”
Yet Slot and Te Kloese are also similar, the latter says. “We are hard workers. He puts so much time into it, it is unbelievable. I have also seen trainers where the phone just turned off at twelve o’clock. With him, it just turns on.” With a wink. “That man is driving you crazy!”

Te Kloese will therefore not get any rest from Slot, who led Feyenoord to the first national title since 2017 last season. “He is really very talented and good. It is no coincidence that players improve every time under his leadership and the team plays well.”
