BRATISLAVA. Denmark’s football players won over home country Finland 1:0 in Sunday’s H-group match of the European Championship 2024 qualification.
The dominance of the guests was confirmed by midfielder Pierre-Emile Höjbjerg, who in the 86th minute beat Bratislava native Lukáš Hradecký.
After six games, the Danes are in 2nd place behind the Slovenians with 13 points. On Sunday, they beat group outsiders San Marino 4-0 on their pitch.

Albania at the head of the group
At the head of Group B are the French, who have won all five matches. The Dutch are currently in second place by a score ahead of the Greeks.
They beat Gibraltar 5-0 on Sunday, and the outsider of the group did not even get the first goal in the fifth match in this qualification.
In the first half of the match between Ireland and the Netherlands, the spectators saw one converted penalty on both sides. The Dutch finally triumphed 2:1 thanks to a goal by striker Wout Weghorst in the 56th minute.
The representatives of Albania jumped to the first place of E-group after defeating Poland 2:0. In second place are the Czechs, who have played one match less, while these teams will meet each other in their next match.
Mitrovic’s clean hat trick
Kazakhstan’s players also enjoyed the victory in the “hook”, who triumphed over Northern Ireland 1:0. Striker Maksim Samorodov scored the only goal of the match.
It was already the fourth victory for the Kazakhs, the Northern Irish lost their fifth game in a row and they have three points in the penultimate 5th place.
The representatives of Montenegro managed to win over Bulgaria despite the numerical disadvantage. They were leading 1-0 after Stefan Savič’s goal, but from the 59th minute they played in a weakened state, when Igor Vujačič received a red card after a second yellow card.

Bulgarian Kiril Despodov did not score from the penalty shortly after that, but his teammate Preslav Borukov equalized the score at 1:1 in the 79th minute.
However, Montenegrins finally managed to win when Stevan Jovetič scored with a header in the sixth minute of added time.
In the same group, the football players of Serbia won 3:1 on the field of Lithuania. All the goals were scored already in the first half, in which the visitors took a 3-0 lead after a clean hat-trick by striker Aleksandar Mitrović.
