Expressen writes that the border between Sweden and Denmark was temporarily opened on Saturday morning at Helsingör. But now the Danish authorities are turning, saying it all is due to a communication failure.
On Saturday, many boats traveled by boat from Helsingborg to Helsingör, where they dropped in without showing a negative corona test, the newspaper writes.
The confusion arose Friday. Then the newspaper Sydsvenskan wrote that people living in Skåne, Halland and Blekinge still do not have to prove that they are corona-free.
The source was the Danish Ministry of Justice, who said that travelers can instead promise to be tested within 24 hours in Denmark and isolate themselves until they can submit a negative test, writes Denmark’s radio.
On the same day, the shipping companies sailing on the route stated that Swedes from the three regions are often required to land in Denmark without negative testing.
On Saturday afternoon, Danish police emphasize that residents of the three southern Swedish regions can only come if they show a negative test taken during the last 72 hours.
This is in line with the new rules that the Danish authorities put forward on Thursday. It says that in Sweden, only people living in Västerbotten in the north can freely travel to Denmark. The rest of Sweden does not meet the Danes’ requirement that the second number of coronas infected be less than 20 per 100,000 inhabitants.
