Denmark to Transfer Artillery to Ukraine: Prime Minister Frederiksen

She noted that European leaders in arms supplies often cite production problems. The Prime Minister emphasized that Europe has weapons and needs to transfer them to Ukraine.

“But Ukraine is asking us for ammunition and artillery now. We, Denmark, have decided to transfer all our artillery to Ukraine. Therefore, forgive me, friends, there is military equipment in Europe, this is not only a matter of production. We have weapons, ammunition, air defense systems that We are not using them yet. They need to be transferred to Ukraine,” she said.

In addition, Frederiksen added that during the COVID-19 pandemic, Europe and the United States quickly invented a vaccine and produced it in the required volumes. In her opinion, this can be done with weapons.

The head of the Danish government also supported the integration of Ukraine into the EU and NATO. Frederiksen believes the EU should give Ukraine a clear signal that it will join the bloc.

Help from Denmark

Denmark is one of Ukraine’s partner countries. She provided our country with military and humanitarian assistance and supports sanctions against Russia.

It is known that Denmark has already provided Ukraine with artillery, and has also joined the aviation coalition to train and transfer F-16 fighters.

Yesterday, as part of the Munich Security Conference, President Vladimir Zelensky met with Prime Minister of Denmark Matte Frederiksen. They discussed security guarantees and cooperation between countries.
