Denmark Sends Military Equipment to Ukraine to Face Russian Invasion

Government Denmark declared ready to send military equipment to Ukraine, in the midst of the threat of invasion Russia to that country.

This was conveyed by Denmark at a time when Western countries were intensifying diplomacy and threatening tough economic sanctions against Indonesia Russia to prevent the invasion of Ukraine.

“I am ready to send military equipment to Ukraine. We have given advice,” said the Prime Minister (PM) Denmark Mette Frederiksen at a press conference as reported by the news agency AFP, Saturday (1/2/2022).

“We know there are requests for advice on cybersecurity,” he added, after a massive cyberattack that hacked government websites. Ukraine earlier this month. The Ukrainian government blamed Russia for the cyber attack.

But Frederiksen said the deployment of Danish troops to the former Soviet Union was “not being discussed”.

“Like others, we want to help. We agreed at the international level to use sanctions if Russia attacks Ukraine,” said the leader Denmark that.

Last week, Denmark, which is a member of NATO, committed to providing Ukraine with an annual aid of around 80 million euros. This was conveyed when the Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Dmytro Kuleba visited Copenhagen, Denmark.
