November 16 is the day for local elections in the Danish city of Aarhus, where the city will vote 31 new members to their own city council.
In this connection, several pictures of the politician Nana Harring, who represents the Danish People’s Party, have been hung on the city’s lampposts.
However, it is not this photo that attracts the most attention, but the photo Harring posted on his own Instagram profile the day before.
Here she is sitting in a chair wearing a black, transparent bodystocking with lace.
– It is the same talented photographer who has taken the picture on my election poster, who has taken this. But this picture will probably not be hung on the lampposts, the politician writes.

To Danish BT, who first mentioned the case, Harring explains that the picture was initially posted for fun, but that there is also another explanation behind it.
– I do not think you have to change yourself, even if you want to change society. I think I have some concrete things I want to change to make Aarhus a better place to be. It does not change even if I post a picture of myself in a bodystocking, she tells the newspaper.
She then explains that she is not afraid of losing any votes because of the picture.
– The votes I could potentially lose, I have probably lost beforehand, since I am who I am. I do not want to change that.
She also comes up with a sting to those who prejudge her because of the image.
– The fact that I post lightly dressed photos on Instagram does not say anything about my qualities as a politician.
Pictures were scattered
This is not the first time that the local politician has ended up in the media spotlight due to lightly dressed images.
In April this year, she spoke candidly about how more private photos and videos of her were spread on social media in 2017.
– I think it is the worst I have experienced in my whole life, Harring told the TV channel TV Midwest.
The pictures were posted on the intranet of Harring’s school, and could thus be seen by both students and teachers, and was just one of several cases, where a man was investigated for stealing private and intimate pictures from 500 Danish women.
