Denmark: – Oliver (21) presumed dead

On Thursday, it became known that the police have found body remains they believe belong to Danish Mia Skadhauge Stevn (22).

The Danish woman was reported missing on Sunday after she got into a black car after a city trip in Aalborg.

Two days before this, Oliver Ibæk Lund (21) was also reported missing in the same city.

Well, the police believe that he too is dead, reports Dansk Radio.

– Tragic accident

In a press release writes the police in North Jutland that video surveillance images show that Oliver fell into the water.

– We consider this a very tragic accident, writes Deputy Police Inspector Sune Myrup.

The press release states that there is nothing to indicate that the 21-year-old was exposed to anything criminal.

Suddenly gone

Oliver Ibæk Lund was last seen on Friday night in Aalborg.

– He went to town with some friends, who went to McDonald’s to get some water. When they returned, he was gone, said duty officer Poul Fastergaard in the North Jutland police Extra Bladet.

Since then, police and search crews have searched for the 21-year-old.

Now he is presumed dead.

– I want to thank all the residents who contributed information in the case and who helped in connection with the search, writes Deputy Police Inspector Sune Myrup in the press release.

For the sake of the relatives, the police do not want to comment on the case further.

Clap hunt

The police are now looking for an answer to what happened to Mia Skadhauge Stevn.

After the remains were found in Dronninglund Storskov, northeast of Aalborg, the police arranged a press conference.

– We believe that Mia was subjected to a criminal act, said Deputy Police Inspector Frank Olsen.

He stressed that the police are still awaiting a series of technical and forensic examinations to determine the final identity of the body and cause of death.

– Our opinion is that it is about Mia, Olsen said.

Two men taken

After help from the public and analyzes of surveillance images, the police tracked down two 36-year-old men.

They were arrested on Wednesday morning.

They are both charged with killing Mia Skadhauge Stevn.

After the detention meeting on Thursday, it became clear that one of the accused will be remanded in custody for four weeks, and the other accused was released.

The defender of the man who was released after the prison meeting told the press corps outside the court in Aalborg that his client was fine according to the conditions.

Still, he was shocked by the accusations.

– My client is shaken, said lawyer Jakob Dalsgaard-Hansen Dagbladet.

The prosecution has appealed the decision on release.
