Dimitar Glavchev stated that the official cabinet should be politically neutral. I am a member of the Policy Council of Continuing the Change. This by definition excludes my participation in the office. And secondly: a decision on the participation of ministers from the PP in cabinets that are not from the PP must be taken by the party bodies.
This was stated after today’s meeting of the Council of Ministers by the resigned Minister of Regional Development Andrey Tsekov, who answered a question about whether he would participate in Dimitar Glavchev’s office, reported a Novini.bg reporter.
“No. I would not participate in the official cabinet under this option,” announced the resigned Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev and added that the most important goal for the acting Minister of Defense is “continuing military aid to Ukraine against financial compensation to continue rearmament of the Bulgarian Army”.
“No, I will not take part in the official cabinet”, the resigned Minister of Sports, Dimitar Iliev, was categorical. “The most important thing is that the next sports minister continues the line of stability ahead of the Olympics and that our athletes feel supported.” I am confident that our team did just that. It will be best if the new minister does nothing. The athletes will continue to prepare in the way we have prepared for them,” he added.
“Questions about the official cabinet should be addressed to President Radev and the nominee for acting Prime Minister,” Prime Minister Academician Nikolay Denkov said succinctly.
“There is very important work to be done in the next two months. I hope that the new Minister of Justice will introduce the draft Law on the Judiciary and that it will be adopted. I have no information on who the next minister will be. I am returning to the parliament,” announced the resigned Minister of Justice Atanas Slavov.
“We have started many things and there is not enough time for them. Let’s wait for events to unfold and see. No one has been looking for me at this point. I haven’t sought contact either. This is out of the question,” said the resigned Minister of Agriculture Kiril Vatev.
