Borussia Mönchengladbach actually wants to keep Denis Zakaria. But there is still a chance for Manchester City to sign on.
Manchester City allegedly is intensely looking for midfielder Denis Zakaria from Borussia Mönchengladbach and the foals would also be ready to sell the Swiss if a certain amount.
As the Rheinische Post City trainer Pep Guardiola and sports director Txiki Begiristain are big fans of Zakaria and have already had talks with the 23-year-old. Gladbach’s sports director Max Eberl recently ruled out its sale this summer, loudly image but there could still be some movement in the personnel.

So Gladbach should be ready to talk if the English offer at least 50 million euros for Zakaria. A sum that City could surely pay after the recent CAS ruling, which will allow Skyblues to take part in the Champions League in the coming years.
Zakaria, who came to Gladbach from Young Boys Bern in 2017 and also played a key role under coach Marco Rose until his knee injury in March, is said to have had City on his umbrella even before he switched to the foal. At the time, the international did not yet dare to jump to an absolute top club in Europe.
Zakaria is still under contract in Mönchengladbach until the end of June 2022. So far, he has played a total of 96 competitive games (eight goals) for Borussia.
