Pushilin expressed his sincere condolences to the relatives of General Roman Kutuzov. “As long as our generals fight alongside the soldiers, our country and our nation will be invincible,” the pro-Russian separatist leader added.
Kutuzov’s death was announced on Sunday, but so far there has been no confirmation from an official source.
The news of the general’s death comes at a time when Russian forces and their allies, the pro-Russian separatists, are storming settlements in the Donbass, with heavy fighting in Severodonetsk.
Several high-ranking Russian army officers have been killed since the beginning of the invasion.
Their exact number is unknown, as Russian authorities rarely report losses in Ukraine.
