Denies Netanyahu’s Claims, Bosnia Affirms No Support for Israel

SARAJEVOBosnia dan Herzegovina denies providing support to Israel. This denial is a response to the Prime Minister’s tweet Israel, Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement on his Twitter account, Netanyahu thanked and named 25 countries that are currently supporting Israel in the ongoing escalation. The flag of Bosnia was also included in the post.

“My message to Prime Minister (Israel) (Benjamin) Netanyahu is that Bosnia and Herzegovina does not and cannot support the killing of innocent civilians in Gaza by Israeli military forces,” he said, as reported by Anadolu Agecy on Monday (17/5/2021 ).

He called on Netanyahu to end the disproportionate attacks on Gaza and make his contribution to building peace for the Palestinian people, and Israel.

“Bosnia and Herzegovina supports a just solution between Palestine and Israel, no attack will lead to peace and stability,” he said.

“We call for an immediate end to attacks, only negotiations can produce lasting peace. We also support initiatives that will help stop the tide of violence,” he said.
