“Since the beginning of January, 4 people have died of dengue cases. The ages of these victims were 6 years, 8 years and 13 years. “All of them were treated as nurses at the hospital,” said Head of the Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) Division of the Bogor Regency Health Service (Dinkes), Adang Mulyana, to reporters, Friday (22/2/2024).
From the results of a joint meeting with the PKK and sub-districts throughout Bogor Regency, he continued, there were at least 6 sub-districts with the highest number of cases from January to February 2024. “The case update from January was 255 patients and from February to date there are 137 patients,” said Adang.

Meanwhile, the highest dengue fever cases were in Nanggung District with 28 cases, Cibungbulang with 28 cases, Pamijahan with 27 cases, Leuwiliang with 25 cases, Cileungsi with 27 cases and Jonggol with 25 cases. “Four sub-districts are in West Bogor, while two more are in the East,” he said.
According to him, his party has tried several things to minimize the number of people exposed to dengue fever. The public is asked to adopt a clean, safe and comfortable lifestyle. “Efforts carried out include counseling, PSN, larvicide and focused fogging,” he said.
He said that efforts were continuing to be made to control dengue fever, namely health education or promotion, PSN, and reactivating joint cleaning activities.
“Immediately report to the community health center or other health facilities when there are symptoms of dengue fever. “Mosquito vector control through larvicide and fumigation, and the involvement of all sectors in controlling dengue fever,” he said. (abi)
