JawaPos.com–Secretary of Commission IV DPRD Banjarmasin City, South Kalimantan, Mathari is concerned about the increasing number of dengue hemorrhagic fever (DBD) patients. According to him, the current condition is serious.
DHF cases in Banjarmasin rose by more than 100 percent in just a few days in February. Namely, there are 17 cases.
“From the data we see, there were eight cases of dengue fever in our city in January, but only a few days into this month it has increased significantly, even more than 100 percent,” said Mathari as quoted by Between.

“Because of this apology (Dinkes), I don’t see any real big movement to deal with the dengue problem. Like there is fogging or spraying smoke to kill mosquitoes or something else to eradicate mosquito nests,” said Mathari.
In fact, he continued, these preventive steps are very important. This includes mobilizing larvae monitors (Jumantik) to residents’ homes more optimally.
“This includes carrying out intensive outreach throughout the environment,” explained Mathari.
