Dengue fever statistics around the world

The World Health Organization released a report analyzing the dengue outbreak situation yesterday, December 21, 2023.

Thailand is ranked among the countries with the highest prevalence of dengue fever.

In Southeast Asia, India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and Thailand are among the top 30 in the world with the highest prevalence of the disease.

Compared to last year, in 2023, we have 3 times more dengue fever cases in Thailand (46,678 cases in 2022 and 136,655 cases as of 22 Nov. 2023).

There were four times as many deaths as last year (34 in 2022 and 147 this year).
