Khlong Yai District, Trat Province, Dengue Fever Outbreak 97 cases have been found, most of which are found in 2 sub-districts, which are border areas of Cambodia, while the Provincial Ministry of Public Health asks for cooperation from villagers to help cut mosquito larvae.
On July 11, 2023, Mr. Phanphon Hanyiam, a public health expert in Khlong Yai District, Trat Province, revealed the situation of dengue fever epidemic in the area. This year, the cumulative number of dengue patients from January 1 to July 11, 2023, totaled 97 cases, most of them found in Khlong Yai Subdistrict and Hat Lek Subdistrict, which are border areas. There are Cambodian people and a large number of workers who come to work in various factories in that area
By Public Health, Trat Province requested cooperation from agencies under the Ministry which has entered into a memorandum of cooperation on environmental management to control Aedes mosquitoes in 2023 to prevent dengue fever problems in Trat province by requesting cooperation for villagers and communities to overturn containers with stagnant water to excise the birth of mosquito larvae in various areas in Khlong Yai District, Trat Province
