The spread of dengue fever in 2022 in the same month as 2021 saw an increase in cases from tens of people previously, but now there are 282 cases. Enhancement dengue cases because this year is confirmed to be a five-year cycle. Therefore, his party asked the public to keep the environment clean by carrying out draining, closing, and burying (3M) movements to eradicate mosquito nests (PSN).

So far, he said, prevention of dengue cases was more effective and cheaper through the 3M and PSN movements. Because, he said, this movement can kill mosquito larvae, while spraying pogging only kills adult mosquitoes.

“All patients with dengue fever can be treated by medical personnel at the Puskesmas and RSUD Adjidarmo Rangkasbitung, so that it does not cause extraordinary events (KLB),” said doctor Firman.

According to him, of the 282 cases of dengue fever in Lebak Regency spread across 23 sub-district health centers that were declared endemic, including Rangkasbitung District, 115 cases were recorded and four were reported dead. Cibadak sub-district 40 cases, Kalanganyar 24 cases, Cibeber 8 cases, Cimarga 9 cases, Warunggunung 12 cases, Sajira 8 cases, Maja 14 cases, Curugbitung 6 cases, Cileles 5 cases, Cipanas 10 cases and Sobang 4 cases.

Most of those affected by DHF are residents who live in densely populated settlements.

“We do not stop socializing the prevention of dengue disease,” said Firman.

He said that during this time, rainfall in Lebak Regency tends to increase and has the potential to breed Aedes aegypti mosquitoes through puddles as well as used goods, baths, fish ponds, and others. This condition certainly makes the dengue mosquito population grow, because it is in clean water and does not touch the ground.

“Usually, the dengue mosquito population thrives in clean standing water,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Irma (30), a resident of West Rangkasbitung Village, Lebak Regency, admitted that her one year old child has now recovered from dengue after being treated for one week at the Adjidarmo Rangkasbitung Hospital.

“We are happy after his son recovered from dengue,” said Irma.
