Dendias: “New Democracy is the real patriotic party” – 2024-04-29 11:14:14

“New Democracy is the real patriotic party, the party that expresses the interests of the Greek citizen in the important battle of the European elections, which the ND, and the European People’s Party as a whole, will fight against the forces of the extreme right, against the forces of populism, against the forces of irresponsibility,” said the Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, who chaired a party meeting in Thessaloniki on the subject of the pre-election campaign.

“I am extremely optimistic about this effort, I am not naive, I watched today’s poll data with great care,” said Mr. Dendias and continued: “I know the threats, I know the feeling of a part of society that they should show some form of protest. But I am absolutely convinced, that with the right coordination and joint effort, we will convince society that what constitutes the absolute certainty of stability and progress, both of the country but of the individual and family interest of each and every one of the residents of the Region of Central Macedonia, is the trust in the New Democracy party and the prime minister. Again, we are not ethereal. We know the magnitude of the challenge, but we accept the responsibility to conduct this campaign with the straightforwardness that always characterizes the faction founded by Konstantinos Karamanlis”.

Mr. Dendias has assumed the duties of coordinator of the election campaign of the ND, in the region of Central Macedonia, for the European elections of June 9.

In the context of his duties, he convened the meeting held at the headquarters of the ND in Thessaloniki and was attended by MPs, elected to the Local Government, party and ONNED officials from the prefectures of Central Macedonia.
