FC Den Bosch has lost its leading position in the first division. Coach’s team David Nascimento did not get further than a goalless draw when visiting Telstar.
Due to the loss of points, Den Bosch has to give up the lead on goal difference to Excelsior, which has the same number of points (17) and won 4-2 against Jong AZ on Friday.
More than a month and a half after the start of the competition, everything is still close at the top of the Kitchen Champion Division. Den Bosch benefited from mistakes by Helmond Sport and Excelsior last weekend and took the lead in the rankings.
Helmond Sport is in third place and will play against number six Jong PSV tomorrow.
Although the season is still young, the current balance of power is striking. Den Bosch finished penultimate last season, while Telstar (seventeenth), Jong PSV (sixteenth) and FC Eindhoven (fourteenth) did not do much better. All these clubs are now in the top six.
Initiative
Den Bosch had great difficulty with Telstar on the artificial grass field in Velzen-Zuid today. After an equal first half, Telstar took over the initiative in the first fifteen minutes after halftime.

During that period, Den Bosch was fortunate that Telstar lacked sharpness and therefore did not punish unnecessary ball losses. Tyrese Noslin and Nils Rossen, among others, failed to take advantage of a well-played counterattack.
Forse god
Only in the final phase did the Den Bosch players launch an offensive offensive. Just before the end, winger Nick de Groot went to the ground in the enemy penalty area after a strong push, but the referee ruled that it was too light for a penalty.
