Freiburg (dpa / lsw) – Again on Saturday several thousand people in Baden-Württemberg cities and communities demonstrated against the corona policy and a possible vaccination requirement. According to the police, there were no major incidents with the larger and registered protest marches in Freiburg, Karlsruhe and Reutlingen, as well as on Friday evening in Ulm.

Most people took to the streets in Freiburg on Saturday, the police counted up to 6000 participants in the registered train. It took place under strict conditions. There were only unsuccessful attempts by opponents of the demonstrators to block the route for the protest, said a police spokesman. The day before, the city had issued a general order according to which so-called Monday walks are prohibited with “immediate effect” unless they have been notified. Similar bans are known from other cities.

According to police estimates, 1,800 people each gathered in Karlsruhe and Reutlingen on Saturday to protest against the corona policy. In the fan-shaped city, they announced their displeasure with drums, posters and the cry of “freedom”. The police spoke of a “very relaxed walk through Karlsruhe”. The police announced that the “large majority” wore a mask at the equally peaceful demonstration in Reutlingen under the motto “We are the human family”. At a larger, not registered demonstration, numerous people had already gathered in Ulm on Friday evening.

Demonstrations against the corona policy also took place in other federal states on Saturday. One of the largest events of vaccination opponents and doubters of corona measures took place in Hamburg, where the police spoke of around 13,700 participants in the evening. According to the police, up to 8,000 people demonstrated against corona measures at a registered event in Frankfurt am Main. According to the police, there were several thousand in Düsseldorf, the organizers spoke of around 4000. Almost 2000 there were in Wetzlar in Hesse and around 1250 in Trier, in Schwerin around 1600 opponents gathered, according to the police, in Regensburg around 2700 and in Ansbach (both Bavaria) around 2000 demonstrators.
