Demonstrations – Frankfurt am Main – climate activists abseil from the motorway bridge – politics

Frankfurt/Main (dpa/lhe) – With an abseiling action from a motorway bridge, climate activists demonstrated on Friday in Frankfurt for climate protection and the turnaround in traffic. While other demonstrators underlined these demands on the motorway bridge, three participants in the protest roped down with a banner. Only shortly before that, the administrative court in Frankfurt had allowed abseiling for a period of 30 minutes. The public order office of the city of Frankfurt had previously banned the abseiling action, arguing that the bridge railing was not suitable for such actions. The freeway was closed in both directions during the protest.
