The latest issue of the magazine Game Informer gave its readers the opportunity to see new details about the upcoming PlayStation 5 exclusivity Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. We were able to learn new information about the technical side of the game, but also game elements such as photo mode or suits that Miles Morales can wear. However, there were also new pictures and a gameplay video that captures a duel with a boss, specifically with Rhin.
Although both Miles and Peter encounter Rhino, the actual fight in the show takes place only between Miles and Rhino. Boss fights should be more varied and larger in content in Spider-man: Miles Morales, but there should still be some balance. As creative director Brian Horton has indicated, you won’t have as many bosses waiting for you with Miles as he did with his colleague Peter Parker. In addition to Rhino, another boss will be Thinkerer, a scientist who wears a special suit and mask through which she communicates using a voice modulator. After all, we could already see this figure demo demo at one of the PlayStation conferences.
The so-called Venom attacks will then be needed to fight. In addition to the enemy’s intervention, they also provide secondary damage. In the example, we can notice that during the fight with Rhin, it is a stun and a strong blow, or a special jump, thanks to which Miles can make another attack from above. These benefits are not free in themselves and to use it you first need to fulfill the Venom Meter. And as in the previous part, Spider-man has spider senses at his disposal, which alert him to an impending attack. What is new, however, is Miles’ invisibility ability, thanks to which players will be able to surprisingly attack their enemies.
There will be the already mentioned photo mode, in which players will be able to play with the setting of the time of day, lights, Spider-Man poses, but also, for example, frames. To display the phone, however, all you have to do is swipe your finger on the touch pad of the DualShock 4 or DualSense controller. It also allows you to view a variety of activities.
When playing Spider-man: Miles Morales on PlayStation 5, we have instant loading, which is not the case with the PlayStation 4 version. The PlayStation 5 version will run in two modes. The first will be a resolution of 4K at 60 fps and is intended primarily for those who prefer smoother gameplay. The second mode is again 4K resolution, but this time at 30 fps. The player can thus enjoy the level of graphic detail more.
Brian Horton also speaks to the story not only of their latest title, which is dedicated to the spider hero, but also of the previous one. According to Horton, the story from the original game Spider-man from 2018 was not properly finished, but Miles Morales should not have finished it either.
Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be available for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 12th. You can pre-order this game through the store Xzone.cz.
