ABU DHABI, 14th October, 2018 (WAM) – An opinion poll conducted by the Security Media Department in the Driving Affairs Sector at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters confirmed that digital traffic awareness plays a leading role in promoting positive behavior among drivers.
90% of participants in the survey, which was published in Arabic and English on social media platforms, supported the importance of digital awareness published by Abu Dhabi Police in raising the level of traffic culture and promoting positive behaviors of road users.
Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Abdullah Al-Saadi, Head of the Security Media Section at the Security Media Department in the Leadership Affairs Sector, explained that Abu Dhabi Police is keen to keep pace with developments in the areas of traffic awareness in order to reach the largest segment of the public by employing advanced technologies, using innovative means, taking advantage of its ease and speed in addressing the community, and investing in enhancing Traffic awareness of safe driving and reducing the occurrence of traffic accidents.
He pointed out that publishing digital traffic awareness videos in cooperation between the Security Media Department and the Traffic and Patrols Directorate via social media comes within joint efforts to develop awareness methods to enhance positive behaviors of drivers and out of concern for achieving the highest levels of traffic safety in the emirate.
He stressed the interest of the Security Media Department in diversifying digital awareness topics, to enhance traffic culture in order to preserve the safety of all road users, and to enhance their security and traffic sense of the importance of adhering to traffic laws and regulations, pointing to continued efforts to instill the value of respecting traffic rules and driving ethics, and avoiding wrong behaviors while driving.
