The power giant is accused of trampling on transgender people’s rights.

Activists and some Netflix employees showed up outside Netflix’s headquarters in Los Angeles on Wednesday.
Activists also claim the channel is profiting from “hate speech”.
– I think trans and non-binary employees are not safe when their employer launches content that could harm them, says Devan McGrath, who himself is employed in the animation department at Netflix.
One of the organizers, Ashlee Marie Preston, tells AFP that they do not demonstrate because they “can’t stand a joke”.
– We are here because we are worried that the jokes may come to life.
The company writes in a statement that they understand that someone is injured, and respect that some employees choose to participate in the protests.
The reason for the protests is Dave Chappelle’s show “The Closer”, where he according to AFP says that “gender is a fact”. He also accuses, according to the news agency, LGBTQ people of being too touchy.
Chappelle has according to BBC part of all the fuss and stated the following:
– If this is what is called being “canceled”, then I love it.
