Tanjiro (voice in the original: Natsuki Hanae) and the group have completed their rehabilitation training in the Butterfly Mansion and are coming to their next mission on the Mugen train, in which over 40 people have disappeared in a short time. Tanjiro and Nezuko (Akari Kitô), along with Zenitsu (Hiro Shimono) and Inosuke (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka), join one of the most powerful swordsmen within the Demon Slayer Corps, Flame Hashira Kyojuro Rengoku (Satoshi Hino), to join the demon To board the Mugen train, which is on its way to doom.

While cinemas in the western world remained largely closed in autumn due to the ongoing corona pandemic, i.e. none of the usual Hollywood blockbusters dominated the global cinema landscape, domestic films in Asia were already enjoying gigantic successes again. In China, the war film “The 800” brought so much money into the coffers that it will go down in history as the financially most profitable film of the year. In Japan, on the other hand, it was the anime “Demon Slayer – The Movie: Mugen Train”, which not only went well in spite of reduced room capacities, but also became the most successful film in Japanese cinema history!
