Waketum Party Democrats Benny K Harman said that his party had not yet determined the support for a presidential candidate for the 2024 election. He said that currently there were two axes that his party was looking at, namely the Ganjar Pranowo and Prabowo Subianto camps.
“We’ll have to wait where to go to Mrs. Megawati with PDIP or Pak Prabowo with Gerindra’s house. We’ll see, all the figures we value and respect,” said Benny to reporters at the DPR Complex, Tuesday (5/9 /2023).
It says the direction of support Democrats to Ganjar or Prabowo is still balanced. His party is waiting for the decision of the Party High Council in determining the support for the presidential candidate for the 2024 election.
“Very possible, very possible. So now it’s 50 percent, 50 percent. Pak Prabowo and Pak Ganjar, right? Everything is good, our relationship with Mrs. Megawati is also good, with Pak Prabowo is also good,” he said.
Benny also said that his party was open to the chairman of the party’s upper house Democrats Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) met with PDIP chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri. This can be done to consider future directions.
“It is very possible (to meet), I think we are very happy if Mrs. Megawati is willing to accept Mr. SBY, Mr. SBY is ready and Mrs. Megawati has never been mean to us, has never been bad to the Democrats,” he added.
