The 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri and the 6th President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) sat down at the G20 summit table in Bali. Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party and SBY’s personal staff, Ossy Dermawan, recounted the moment SBY and Megawati were able to sit at the same table during the event.
“The committee will obviously prepare the room. But for the placement of chairs and tables, as this is just a transit room, I think it’s natural, I’m free to choose,” Ossy said when contacted on Wednesday (16/11/2022 ).
Ossy admitted he didn’t know what happened at the time SBY and Megawati met. You said that the two were also present not at the same time.
“The former are present at place not at the same time,” he said.
Ossy said SBY got to the scene first. Megawati, Ossy said, arrived shortly after SBY arrived.
“Mrs. Mega was the last to arrive. However, the time gap between the first (presidents) was not long,” he said.

Also at the table were Indonesian Parliament Speaker Puan Maharani and Sixth Vice President Try Sutrisno. Also present at the table were the tenth and twelfth vice presidents Jusuf Kalla and his wife. JK sat next to SBY.
