Party Democrat revealed the four names championed by the Democrats in West Java Pilkada (West Java) for 2024. The four names will be tested for their performance for the candidates for governor and deputy governor promoted by the Democrats.
The four Democrats for the 2024 West Java Pilkada:
1. Herman Khaeron (Head of BPOKK, member of DPR for 3 terms)
2. Anton Suratto (Chairman of DPD, member of DPR for 3 terms)
3. Dede Yusuf (Former Deputy Governor of West Java, member of DPR for 2 terms)
4. Cellika (2nd term regent of Karawang).
Chairman of Bappilu Democrat Party Andi Arief conveyed the four names through his Twitter account. He said the four names would be tested to lead the 2024 Pilleg/Pilpres.
“The Democrats for the 2024 West Java Pilkada, they are being tested to lead the 2024 Pilleg/Pilpres,” Andi Arief said in a tweet distributed to reporters, Sunday (26/6/2022).
Andi Arief further explained regarding his tweet. He said those four names would also be nominated for West Java gubernatorial election 2024.
“The name that we are currently testing through performance is to be nominated to be the governor/wagub of West Java,” he said.
He said the name chosen from the four names would be discussed further by the Democratic Party together with the national coalition for the presidential election. According to him, the discussion of the presidential election coalition will also discuss the regional elections.
“Including it will be discussed later in the national presidential election coalition when it is formed. Discussions in the presidential election coalition will also discuss the regional elections,” he said.
