There was thunderous applause for minutes when Kamala Harris stepped onto the stage on the fourth and final evening of the Democratic Party Convention in Chicago. The euphoria certainly carried away even the last skeptics, the crowd was downright electrified, says US correspondent David Signer. He was at the Democratic National Convention for four long days and experienced the new wind and the new mood first hand. “It was as if a dam had broken.”
