Democrats face their first test with the Hispanic vote in Nevada caucuses | News Univision Elections in the USA 2020

Biden in pursuit of the momentum that takes him to South Carolina

Former Vice President Joe Biden is the candidate who has the most to lose in this caucus. Until a few weeks ago he was the favorite in the polls, but his star has been declining after the disappointing results which he got in Iowa and New Hampshire.

Although Senator Bernie Sanders looks like a favorite to win the state, Biden is confident that an honorable second place will stabilize his campaign and allow him to better reach South Carolina, where the majority African-American vote promises to leave him as the winner.

“I think we come to an area (Nevada) that makes a big difference for me, not only going to South Carolina, but the Super Tuesday. And I have a lot of support. So I’m feeling good, ”said an optimist Biden during a visit to a caucus center in Las Vegas.

Biden he needs a good figuration in Nevada and a triumph in South Carolina to recover favoritism, or at least viability, Heading to Super Tuesday on March 3, when with the participation of large states such as California, Texas and Virginia, one could define who has real options to keep the Democratic candidacy.
