Democratic Party General Chair Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono or ME concerned about the current condition of the TNI/Polri, ASN, teachers, health workers, retirees, and village officials. He considered the profession should get a salary increase every year.
AHY initially spoke about the condition of a number of these professions, which have only experienced an 11 percent increase in salary over the last 9 years. He noted they’ve only had two pay increases.
“In the last nine years, their salary has only increased twice, with an accumulated increase of only 11 percent,” said AHY in his statement, Sunday (16/7/2023).
ME also assesses these professions should experience a salary increase every year. According to him, with the current conditions, they actually experienced a decrease in salary.
“Should the salaries of civil servants, teachers, health workers, military-police, village officials and retirees be increased every year. Because if it is linked to inflation, their salaries actually continue to decline,” explained AHY.
Furthermore, AHY also promised to change this policy. He also highlighted the condition of government honorary employees.
“This policy must be changed and improved. We must also pay attention to the fate of teachers and temporary employees. Gradually, adopt them as ASN, with the right policies,” he said.
