Democratic Party Chairman AHY Responds Coldly to Anas Urbaningrum’s Release from Prison

Jakarta

Democratic Party chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (ME) responded coldly when asked about Anas Urbaningrum’s release from bars today. He said it was none of his business.

“No (response). First, no response, second, it has nothing to do with me,” said AHY in Bogor, Monday (10/4/2023).

When asked about the possibility Anas will return to the Democratic Party, AHY returns the choice to Anas Urbaningrum.

“Just ask the person concerned,” said AHY.

As previously reported, the release schedule of former Democratic Party (PD) chairman Anas Urbaningrum from Sukamiskin Prison was reportedly postponed. Previously, Anas was scheduled to be released from jail on April 10, but it was postponed to April 11.

“That’s right (withdrawal), just because of administration,” said the Head of the Kemenkumham Division of Law and Human Rights Jabar Kusnali to detikcom, Wednesday (5/4).

Kusnali said that when Anas was free, his party did not prepare special security. Security around the Sukamiskin Prison will be as usual.

“We did not have special security at the time of Mr. Anas Urbaningrum’s release,” he said.

Meanwhile, Anas loyalists also said that Anas’s loyalists were also planning to withdraw their freedom. Anas loyalists have already prepared a pick-up.

“That the liberation of Anas Urbaningrum, which was planned for April 10 2023 at 14.00 WIB, was postponed to April 11 2023 at 14.00 WIB,” said Kornas Friend of Anas Urbaningrum, Muhammad Rahmad, to a separate reporter.
