Demi Vollering ‘very happy’ after sixth form: “I’m confident things will turn out well”

If Vollering really comes across so much against her team, why does she take the time to defend them out wide? I read a piece from the AD on IDL where she even reacts with humility to the strong comments about Wiebes. But again a sign that the chaos within the team is largely something that is moving around on social media. You will be humbled now and then in a major sports team, especially in cycling where you always have a mixture of individual interest and team interest. A top athlete wants only one thing: to win. But the reports on social media are much louder.

Special congratulations to Vollering for saying these kinds of things out, a lot more should push back against all the indiscriminate outcry on social media. And as far as I’m concerned, WF also falls under social media.

” Lorena Wiebes herself was involved in the accident and may have even been the one who knocked Vollering down, but Vollering believes that Wiebes did nothing wrong. “Lorena has thrown a lot of shit at her, which I don’t think is normal. She’s just had such a tough ride so far, so I think we can be a little better for her. She couldn’t do anything about the accident,” said a humble Vollering. ‘I think Lorena hit me, but that can happen, right? I probably would have fallen anyway, because they fell in front of me and behind me, around me. I also think it’s logical that Lorena stays at the front, because I’ve had so much bad luck that she stayed at the front because in the same case everything will come together again and if she had just had a chance, she would have won one hundred percent.”
