The new production is set during the oil boom era and will be directed by Taylor Sheridan, director and screenwriter of “Yellowstone.”

On this occasion Sheridan has chosen two emblematic Hollywood actors to give life to the main characters of “Landman”; They are Billy Bob Thorton (Angelina Jolie’s ex-husband) and Demi Moore; but, according to the few details that have been made known, they will not give life to a marriage, but rather they will personify two unconditional friends.
“A story up and down of thugs and savage billionaires fueling a boom so big that it is reshaping our climate, our economy and our geopolitics,” reveals the synopsis that the streaming platform has shared.
Ali Larter, Michelle Randolph, Jacob Lofland, Kayla Wallace, James Jordan, Mark Collie and Paulina Chávez will also appear in the series.

What we know about Moore’s character is that, in addition to being Thorton’s right-hand man, she is the wife of one of the most influential oilmen in the state of Texas.
“Demi Moore is an iconic and extraordinary talent, and we are thrilled to have her join Billy Bob Thornton and the star-studded cast of ‘Landman,'” said Chris McCarthy, president and CEO of Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, which also will collaborate in the production.
