Demi Lovato admits that she is pansexual, what is it? The all page

KOMPAS.com – The news that drew attention again came from a Muslim singer from the United States, Demi Lovato.

After her split with ex-fiancé Max Ehrich last year, Demi is now talking about her sexual orientation again.

In podcast Joe Rogan Experience, the 28-year-old woman openly said she was a pansexual.

This means that Demi is attracted to all genders, and she is proud to be part of the “alphabet mafia” which refers to the LGBTQIA + community.

Pansexual, according to clinical psychologist Meity Arianty, STP., M.Psi, is broader than bisexual who have an attraction to two different sexes.

In this context, pansexual tends to be more complicated to describe. Even people who claim to be pansexual often call them “gender blind.”

“I really thought I was going to get married and maybe get pregnant now. However, that was not the case,” she said.

“I also didn’t know if I would end up with a man, so I couldn’t really see myself getting pregnant,” she continued.

Demi also admits that she began to be attracted to women as well as men after watching actresses Sarah Michelle Gellar and Selma Blair in the 1999 film Cruel Intentions.

It’s just that, at that time she could not identify her sexual orientation, and then chose to be attracted to men.

“I grew up in Texas as a Christian which I really didn’t like,” he says.

“I cover up any attraction I had for a woman at a young age, and allow myself to process what I feel,” she continued.

Earlier this month, Demi hinted that she would share more about her sexual orientation.

As a model on the cover of the March issue of Glamor magazine, Demi admits that she is learning to understand her sexual orientation in her life journey, and what she is preparing for in the future.

Actually this confession is not new. She has been pansexual since 2017. In that year, she became interested in dating both boys and girls.

“I am open to dealing with humans. So whether it is through a man or a woman, it does not matter,” he said.

Just last year, Demi announced to her parents — her mother, Dianna De La Garza and stepfather, Eddie De La Garza — that she is pansexual.

Apart from that, he has also promoted documentaries YouTube entitled Dancing With the Devil, which tells of his experience of experiencing a drug overdose in 2018.
