The course dealing with dementia will start again on Wednesday, March 13. The course consists of 6 meetings for informal caregivers of people with dementia, e.g. partner, child or good friend.
Dementia is a serious disease. Both for the person himself and for the immediate environment. During the meetings, extensive information is provided about the disease dementia and its consequences. Practical tips are given about dealing with a loved one with dementia. There is also room for sharing experiences with others who are in a similar situation. Many participants experience this as valuable.
The course involves an experienced course leader, a case manager and a psychologist.
What is dementia – the course of the disease – the well-being of the informal caregiver – using one’s own network – regulatory matters – the importance of the environment and experience-oriented approach.
The course is on Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m. and is given in ‘t Lossers Hoes, Raadhuisplein 1 in Losser. There are no costs associated with the course for informal caregivers from Losser.
