Lloris (5,5/10).– We saw him only once, yesterday, on the Kazakh lawn: a control and a release of the foot not really obvious, on which the doorman was a little scared. Otherwise, the captain had nothing to do. He probably would have caught a cold if the stadium hadn’t been covered.
Dubois (5,5).– The Lyonnais made more effort to participate in the game than his alter ego on the left side. His excellent center for Dembélé could have turned into an assist if the Kazakh goalkeeper had not discovered unsuspected reflexes (69).
Zouma (5).– Nothing to report for the imposing Chelsea defender. He did the job without more but the Blues were not endangered. RAS therefore.
Lenglet (6).– A boss in defense. Never caught failing, it even seems that he was bored if we are to believe his climb to recover a ball 70m from his goal. Deschamps can count on him.
Worthy (5,5).– Not really sharp in his centers which have never found a taker, the left-back was content to do the job defensively and did not weigh enough in his lane.
Pogba (5).– Very easy ball at the foot number 6 of the Blues. A little too much sometimes, like many unstable vertical passes. However, he was behind the second French goal by hampering the unfortunate Maliy (44). Replaced by RABIOT (59) whose contribution to the offensive phases was very interesting.
Ndombele (5).– Little in sight, however, he did a lot of shadow work in midfield by scratching a lot of balls. On the other hand, he will not have really participated in the game … Replaced by the colossus, Moussa SISSOKO (82) which hardly touched the leather.
Dembele (6,5).– Tireless moaner, the twirling winger was the best French on the pitch. Effective on his only real opportunity (20), he was the X factor for Deschamps’ men even if he seemed to still have some under his feet. We can blame him for being a little lazy on defensive tasks, even if it is not where we expect it. He scored points for the Euro before being replaced by Coman (90).
Griezmann (5,5).– In front, behind or to the sides, the bun attacker was in the oven and the mill yesterday afternoon, but didn’t create any lags. He stalled a lot to get out of the Kazakh bloc without much success. His 35th goal in blue was disallowed for offside. True boss of the Blues, it is even he who gave the signal to Didier Deschamps to make the first changes. Replaced by I AM YEDDER (59) who did not have the opportunity to showcase themselves.
Lemar (4,5).– He had a card to play today but didn’t really take advantage of it. Altruistic, he could have afforded to light a fuse rather than trying to offer Martial a goal before the break (43).
Martial (5,5).– Individualist on his first occasion where he forgets Antoine Griezmann (14), he is then at the origin of the opening of the scoring. A marvel of oriented control before putting Dembélé in orbit (20) … The Mancunian striker lacked sharpness in the area before being replaced by injury (59) by MBAPPé. An entry marked by grigris, a penalty provoked and missed … He would benefit from playing easier even if the Kazakh goalkeeper had decided to shine against him.
