“My dream would have been to play for Paris and sometimes dreams are good where they are. Dreams remain dreams. Playing for Chelsea was a goal in my career. I was very happy at the time of the transfer to have planned it. Chelsea was written on a piece of paper when I was 16, like other clubs. It was already planned 10 before in my head. In my football career, I started my career with a track record. ”
PSG supporters will remember Demba Ba above all, for his goal at the very end of the match at Stamford Bridge in 2014, during the quarter-final second leg of the Champions League (2-0, 3-3 overall), who eliminated the Parisian club of the competition. It is obvious that for a football player from the Paris region, playing for the capital club is a dream. Unfortunately, very few of them manage to achieve this goal.
For his part, Demba Ba, even if he did not realize this dream, will have had a good career. Winner in particular of the Europa League in 2013, with the Blues, his time with the English club was a success. In his own way, he marked the history of the Parisian club and the memory of the supporters, even if many would necessarily have liked it to happen differently.
