Demand rose in the WFH era, Sharp Indonesia worked on the notebook market

Jakarta (ANTARA) – Tempted by the increasing notebook market due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has caused most people to work from home, PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia is working on the notebook market for the first time after acquiring 100 percent of Dynabook Inc’s shares at the end of June 2020.

“With the implementation of the Work From Home (WFH) program and online learning by schools throughout Indonesia, this is the background for the increasing demand for notebooks. Seeing this opportunity, Sharp Indonesia is increasingly determined to start expanding its business by working on the Indonesian IT market,” said General Manager of National Sales. Senior PT Sharp Electronics Indonesia (SEID) Andry Adi Utomo as in Jakarta, Monday.

By continuing to use Dynabook as an official trademark, Sharp Indonesia launched the Dynabook Satellite Pro L40-G as its first notebook marketed in Indonesia.

“We are targeting young professionals, university students and students,” said Andry through his written statement.

He explained that the Dynabook Satellite Pro L40-G is equipped with a 10th generation Intel © Core ™ processor with dual SSD and HDD storage so it provides maximum speed and large storage space.

“For SSD storage, there are two capacity options, namely 256 Gb and 512 Gb, while for HDD there is a capacity of 1 terabyte,” said AUVI product Strategy Assistant General Manager SEID Ardy added.

Not only aimed at MS-Office users, he said, the notebook measuring 32 X 22 X 1.8 cm is also inserted with Intel® UHD Graphics, NVIDIA® GeForce® MX250 2GB GDDR5 which can support simple graphic design activities.

He further explained that the notebook was marketed today (17/8) through marketplaces such as Bhinneka.com Blibli, JDid and other stores throughout Indonesia, with prices
IDR 9 million – IDR 16 million.

“Targeting the corporate market, Sharp Indonesia is targeting a market share of 10 percent with a sales target of around 1,500 units per year,” said Andry.
