A passenger can’t control himself after the airline was forced to cancel a flight. He went berserk and spat on the crew.
Fox5 reported, Sunday (14/5/2023) a Delta Airlines passenger turned aggressive when the flight was postponed to tomorrow. This incident occurred at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport.
“Please don’t do this,” the young woman begged Delta Air Lines staff at the gate. He said he had an urgent reason and required him to come home that day.
A Delta gate agent explained to the arriving officers that he smelled of alcohol.
“I have a partner,” he continued.
The officers tried to calm the woman down and explained that they would escort her to the hotel. The officer also explained that he could come back tomorrow and continue the flight.
But the officer’s efforts were not successful. This woman who had been begging earlier immediately turned aggressive. The officer’s body camera footage captured the moment he spat at a gate worker.
“I didn’t even spit on him,” the woman screamed as officers held her down on the floor.
This woman was arrested and taken to the Clayton County Jail. Officials agreed that what this woman did was a misdemeanor.
Attacks on airport officials have recently occurred. One reason is that passengers are affected by alcohol.
Recently, another angry passenger attacked and injured a Spirit Airlines worker in Atlanta. After the incident, she told law enforcement that she was pregnant.
Back in January, an Ohio woman was caught on camera when she used a fire extinguisher on officers who tried to arrest her at the Atlanta airport.
“Sometimes, it gets out of control at the airport,” retired Atlanta police officer Orrick Curry told FOX 5 Atlanta. “Especially when you add alcohol.”
