The Delta Festival is one of the most popular cultural events in France. On the music side, it brings together headliners from the hip-hop and electro scene such as Niska, Damso, Nina Kraviz and Feder, who will perform from Wednesday August 23 to Sunday August 27. The program is eclectic and the event aims to reflect Marseille life.

Bob Sinclar, Kungs, Sean Paul or even PNL have already thrilled the latest editions of the Delta. These five days placed under the theme of dreams will give way to a scenography rich in dances and pyrotechnic effects. The 150,000 festival-goers will wiggle their hips until the end of the night on the flagship beaches of the Prado overlooking the Frioul islands.

Largest youth forum in France

Beyond the music, the 30,000 daily festival-goers, particularly young people, will have the opportunity to make their voices heard during the Monde des Possibles, the largest youth forum in France. This citizens’ convention is supported by nearly 800 youth structures, more than half of which are student associations.

A stage will be dedicated to hosting an “Agora”, a space for discussion where young citizens and committed actors will present proposals around the challenges of tomorrow: culture, health, economy, environment and living together. The Prado beaches have thus been converted into 10 themed villages such as those dedicated to student life, professional integration or artistic expressions.

“Fun” and entertaining activities such as kayaking, the Camargue cow, foam ax fights or football matches under the bubbles, can quickly give the impression of being in a giant funfair. However, this celebration is only a pretext for young festival-goers to meet associations and reflect on current issues such as the climate emergency, mental health or the fight against racism and all forms of inequality.

Not just music

Like the musical programming, the World of Possibilities also has the right to its headliners. We thus find Hugo Travers, the reference among young people in terms of information thanks to his HugoDécrypte account which has conquered YouTube and social networks. The Libellule influencer, known for her content on sexuality, will talk about the difficulties in making festive spaces more secure.

Her sidekick The Ginger Chloé will discuss the fight against discrimination, she who has made it a front topic on her Instagram and TikTok accounts by talking about body-positivism. The young 19-year-old Amine Kessaci from Marseille, a figure in the northern districts with his association Conscience, committed to young people, will discuss Marseille as a “capital of possibilities”. Associations that have historically collaborated with the Delta Festival are reiterating their partnership. We find Amnesty International, SOS Méditerranée or Sea Shepherd who will circulate in the different spaces of the festival.
